By default, if you send a campaign to lead1, lead2, and lead3, the auto follow-up sequence for lead1 will only only stop for lead1 only if lead1 responds. The system will continue to send auto followup sequence for lead2 and lead3 since they did not answer.

However, if you enable the option Stop the auto follow-up sequence for all recipients if any recipient in the TO field replies, then if you send a campaign to team_member1, team_member2, and team_member3, the entire campaign (all auto followups sequences) will end if any one of them replies. The assumption here is that you need just answer to one of the recipients.

Example Scenario

Consider a scenario where a project manager is sending follow-up emails to different teams involved in a project. Each email contains important updates and requests for information. These emails are sent to multiple team members, such as:

  • team_member1@company.com
  • team_member2@company.com
  • team_member3@company.com

By default, if the project manager sends a follow-up email and only receives a response from team_member1, the system will continue sending follow-ups to team_member2 and team_member3. This could lead to redundant emails and possible confusion among the team.

However, by enabling the option Stop the auto follow-up sequence for all recipients if any recipient in the TO field replies, the project manager ensures that the entire follow-up sequence stops as soon as any one team member responds. This is especially useful in scenarios where a response from one team member is adequate for the manager’s needs, thereby preventing unnecessary emails and ensuring that the team remains focused and not overwhelmed by redundant follow-up messages.
