Introduction

Sometimes you might need to set up an automatic follow-up for an email you already sent or are about to send, even if you don’t have a Gmail Auto Follow-up template for that situation. For example, if you need a follow-up for a single email to a friend or colleague about a specific question and don’t want (or you do not have time) to create a template, you can use quick auto follow-up.

Let’s consider a real-world scenario to make this clearer. Suppose you emailed a colleague asking about the status of a project with a specific question. By using a quick auto follow-up, you can schedule a reminder email to be sent automatically after a set timeframe and you can rephrase your questions – this ensures your question isn’t forgotten, and you stay updated without creating a permanent template for this particular case.

In short, if creating a template seems too time-consuming or unnecessary, a quick auto follow-up is a helpful option.
