Tracking doesn’t work if a test email is sent and opened in the same Google Chrome browser (e.g. if you send an email from your email account to another account of you).
This is because our Email Tracker has the intelligence to detect you are actually reading your own email so that you do not get incorrect open notifications when you open your own email.
So, in order to properly test Free Email Tracker, you need to ensure the following:
- You will need to send your test email to a different email account (i.e., tracking will not work if you send email to yourself)
- You will need to open your test email using browser in which you are not logged into cloudHQ
In short, the suggested way to test Free Email Tracker is to send your test emails to your colleague or a friend.
