Introduction
Now and then a cloudHQ account or subscription has to change hands. A colleague takes over, the company appoints a new administrator, or you move to another email address. Support can handle that for you.
What can be transferred
- The administration of your team account can be handed to another user. The invoices, the payment method and the billing profile move with it.
- You can move a subscription over to another email address.
How to ask
- The new owner needs a cloudHQ account. If there’s no account yet, that person signs up before anything else.
- The current owner writes to us. Send an email to support@cloudhq.net from the address on the current account. In it, tell us what you want transferred and who should get it. Include the new owner’s email address too.
- We confirm the request. We might come back to you for a few details so we know the request really comes from the owner. If anyone else asks, the change won’t happen.
- We tell you when it is done. Once the transfer is finished, we send you a confirmation email.
After the transfer
- Once you’ve passed the cloudHQ account to someone else, that person clears the browser cookies, then signs in to Gmail with the new address. After that they install or open the cloudHQ extension and authorize the account when a prompt asks for it.
- If your goal is only to change the email of an account you use yourself, go to How to change your cloudHQ account email.
- Every cloud account connected to cloudHQ (Google Drive, Dropbox and so on) stays with whoever authorized it. For this reason the new owner might have to authorize each connection a second time.
