This article explains how to use MailKing to create and send a text campaign.

Here are step-by-step instructions on how to send your text campaign.

  1. When sending a text campaign, you first need to create your phone list: a list of recipients (phone numbers) to whom you want to send text messages.

So the first step is to create a Google spreadsheet or CSV with your recipients. The spreadsheet needs to have a column named Phone# – this column defines the phone# to whom sent the text message.

An example spreadsheet can be found here

  2. Now, you are ready to create your first text campaign. The first step is to go to your MailKing dashboard. You can get to the MailKing by clicking on the Campaign button in your Gmail or by going to your cloudHQ dashboard and clicking on the MailKing icon.

    Or
  3. Click on the New Text Campaign button.
  4. The campaign design window will open. Here you can import your recipients and write your message.
  5. Give your campaign a name:
  6. Import your spreadsheet you have created in the first step by clicking on Import from Google Spreadsheet
  7. Compose your message. Enter text like this:
    Hi *|Name|* This is *|MY_NAME|*
I want to let you know that your submission is due. Please submit your work by the end of the week. The URL is: *|URL|*

  8. Preview your message
