With the Free Email Tracker extension for Gmail, you can change the default settings for the following:

  • Notifications:
    • Desktop notifications each time my email is opened.
    • Email notification when an email is opened for the first time.
    • Send me a text message when my email is opened for the first time.
  • Reminders:
    • Send me a reminder via email if my email is not opened in 48 hours.
    • Send me a reminder via email if my email is not replied to in 48 hours.
  • Disable or enable link tracking

Here is how to manage these default settings:

  1. Click on the Email Tracker icon in your Gmail. This will redirect you to the Email Tracker Dashboard:
  2. You can also access the Email Tracker Dashboard from your cloudHQ page – just click the Email Tracker icon in your Apps Dashboard:
  3. The Email Tracker Dashboard looks like this:
  4. If you want to receive desktop notifications every time your emails are opened, then you can go to the Email Tracker Dashboard and tick the box next to “Desktop notifications each time my email is opened”:
  5. If you want to receive a one-time notification when your email is first opened, then you can go to the Email Tracker Dashboard and select the option “Email me when my email is opened for the first time”:

  6. If you want to receive SMS notifications on your mobile phone when emails are opened for the first time, then you can go to the Email Tracker Dashboard and select the option “Send me a SMS text message when my email is opened for the first time”:

  7. If you want to track all clicks on links when sending tracked emails, then select the option “Link tracking enabled”:

  8. To track clicks on links, you’ll have to add hyperlinked text somewhere in your email when composing a new message:

  9. After you’ve sent an email containing hyperlinked text, you can track the recipient’s link clicks by going to the Email Tracker Dashboard and clicking on that particular email message:

  10. In the Email Trace window, you can see how many times the recipient clicked on the hyperlinked text:

  11. If you want to be reminded whenever emails are not opened after 48 hours, then you can go to the Email Tracker Dashboard and select the option “Send me a reminder via email if my email is not opened in 48 hours”:
