When you sync SharePoint and Dropbox, files uploaded from Dropbox to SharePoint do not keep their original dates from Dropbox. How can I fix this?

If files uploaded to SharePoint do not have the same dates as in Dropbox (metadata is missing), it is because cloudHQ is not installed on your Microsoft 365 domain. Our system needs full permissions to update file upload dates in SharePoint to match the dates from Dropbox. To install cloudHQ on your domain, follow the steps in this support note: How to install cloudHQ to your Microsoft 365 (Office 365) domain

If you already created a sync pair, do the following:

  1. Delete the current sync pair
  2. Delete the files that were created in SharePoint (so the system can re-upload them with the correct dates)
  3. Go to the Cloud Accounts tab and remove your SharePoint authorization
  4. Install cloudHQ on your domain. Instructions are here: How to install cloudHQ to your Microsoft 365 (Office 365) domain
  5. Authorize Microsoft 365 SharePoint again: go to the Cloud Accounts tab and click on the Microsoft 365 icon
  6. Create the sync pair again
