Limitations and requirements of Box and Office 365 storage services are slightly different so during migration cloudHQ might report errors that certain files or folders cannot be migrated.
Here is the list of possible errors:
- Office 365 does not support upload of files larger than 10 GB
Box allows storage of files larger than 15 GB while maximum files size for Office 365 SharePoint and Office 365 OneDrive is 10 GB. Furthermore, Office 365 admin can impose limits on maximum file size for certain users or SharePoint document libraries.
The solution for this problem is to break file in Box into smaller chunks. - The pathname of this object is too long
Office 365 SharePoint and OneDrive have maximum pathname of 400 characters. This limit applies to the total length of the URL path to a folder or a file in SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business.
The solution for this problem is to rename folders in Box so that no pathname is shorter than 400 characters. - Office 365 does not support creation of folders which have certain names (i.e., _vti_cnf, _vti_script, etc.)
Due to security reasons, Office 365 does not allow direct upload of ActiveX scripts and SharePoint configuration files via API.
The solution to this problem is to upload these files manually or to create them directly via Office 365 web interface. - Office 365 reported that file was not accepted.
Office 365 might refuse to upload due to security reasons (i.e., the file is detected as virus, certain type of files are forbidden by Office 365 admin, etc.)
The solution for this problem to try uploading the problematic file manually – if that fails then contact your Office 365 admin to adjust settings. - Office 365 server is unable to upload this file because the account is disabled or that maximum storage quota has been reached.
