Introduction

PDF Redact by cloudHQ has settings that let you control what gets redacted from your PDF documents. You can access these settings by clicking the Modify Options link or by going to this URL: PDF Redact – Redaction Settings

There are three sets of options you can change:

  1. which PII information will be redacted
  2. extra types of information that you want to redact
  3. exact text to be redacted

Which PII information will be redacted

Here you select predefined PII items you want to redact.
Just check the box next to each PII entity you want to redact and click Save Changes.

Extra types of information that you want to redact

Here you can enter other types of information you want to redact. Examples:

  1. Invoice numbers: this will redact invoice numbers
  2. Dollar amounts: this will redact all dollar amount
  3. Email addresses ending with @gmail.com: this will redact only emails which have @gmail.com

Exact text to redact

Here you can enter the exact text you need to redact.
For example, if you want all instances of the word Naomi redacted, enter Naomi and click Save Changes.
