Introduction
cloudHQ can transfer all your files and folder from your personal Google Drive to Workspace Drive.
- All files and folders will be copied from the old Google Workspace to the new Google Workspace domain.
- The folders will be preserved.
- Google Docs document file types Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Slides will be migrated and will stay in Google native format. All history will be preserved.
- Sharing settings and permissions on files and folders shared externally will NOT BE preserved
- All Google Drive shortcuts will be migrated
- Application-specific Google Drive files such as Google Maps, Google Forms, and similar will NOT BE migrated
cloudHQ migration uses continuous sync, so you can still access your personal Google Drive while migration is in progress.
Migration Steps
For migration, you will need to create one-way sync pairs like this:
Google Drive (alice@gmail.com) -> Google Drive (alice@company.com) Google Drive (bob@gmail.com) -> Google Drive (bob@company.com)
Follow these steps:
- Create a cloudHQ account using the source Google Workspace admin account.
- Install cloudHQ on the source Google Workspace domain. The instructions are here.
- Authorize personal Google Drive(s) you want to migrate:
- Go to the Cloud Accounts tab
- Click on the Google Drive icon
- Enter Google gmail address of the personal
