The RFC 822 (Request for Comments 822) is a standard for the format of internet text messages, defining the structure of email headers and message bodies.
To download Gmail emails in RFC822 format, follow these steps:
- Select an email message in Gmail
- Select the “more” menu icon – three dots (ellipsis) vertically aligned in the upper right corner of an email
- Select Show original
- Click the Download Original link to get the email in RFC822 format:
