When you set up cloudHQ sync of OneNote to your Salesforce account, your OneNote notes can automatically be attached to the appropriate Salesforce records.
To attach records in this way, you will need to add special “trigger” keywords in OneNote. These “trigger” keywords will instruct cloudHQ which record to attach the note.
If cloudHQ does not detect a “trigger” keyword in a note, the note will be just added to Salesforce Files.
The “trigger” keywords have the following format:
#recordType: recordNameThe recordType is a type of Salesforce record. For example: account, opportunity, contact, etc. You can also use custom records.
The recordName is name of Salesforce account, opportinity, contact, etc.
The recordName is name of Salesforce account, opportinity, contact, etc.
For example:
- If cloudHQ finds keyword #account: AirBnB in the note, then the note will be attached to Salesforce account “AirBnB”
- If cloudHQ finds keyword #contact: ceo@companye.com, then the note will be attached to Salesforce contact which has email “ceo@companye.com”
- If cloudHQ finds keyword #opportunity: Express Logistics, then the note will be attached to Salesforce opportunity which has email “Express Logistics”
