Here is how to edit emails in Google Docs using our Chrome extension:

  1. Install the cloudHQ Chrome browser extension Edit emails in Google Docs from this location: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/edit-emails-to-google-doc/idphbkkhjljnpfdkpebobnnggljmjnmo/:

  2. Add this extension to Chrome so you have the “Edit in Google Docs” button in your Gmail or Google Apps mail:

  3. Open your email and click the “Edit in Google Docs” button in your Gmail or Google Apps mail:

If you get this notification, it means you will need to authorize Google Drive:

    • Click “Add Google Drive Account”:

    • This will display for a few seconds, then automatically redirect you to Google Drive:

  • Authorize cloudHQ in Google Drive:

Then go back to your email and click the “Edit in Google Docs” button.

 

 

  • Select the Google Drive folder where to save your Gmail or Google Apps email:

  • Click “Save” once you have chosen a location in Google Drive:

  • You will get a message that your Gmail or Google Apps email is being saved to Google Docs:

  • Your email is now saved in Google Drive. Click “OK” or click “here” if you want to check in Google Drive:

  • If you don’t click, you will be automatically redirected to Google Docs:

  • Your Gmail or Google Apps email is now saved in Google Docs with a link to your original email. The email be now edited from Google Docs:
